If you're interested in commissioning me to do a drawing for you then you'll need to follow this simple process.
1. First, please email me your request
Please make the subject of your email "commission request." Please use the e-mail address commissions@stevenegordon.com or the order form. Describe what you have in mind and whether there's a similar piece or technique you'd like me to use. Feel free to add as much detail as you want - though I can't guarantee you that everything you describe will work. Often it's best to just request specific characters and leave it to my imagination and judgement.
2. I will then reply to your email
I will discuss specifics and whether it's something I feel I can do successfully for you. After this has been determined I will then discuss what I feel is a fair price when I can finish the piece.
Please note that I also work full time and will only be able to work on your project as time permits, so do not approach me with a request that needs to be completed within an unreasonably short amount of time.
3. I will e-mail you several roughs
You will receive 2 to 3 lo-res roughs that I feel fulfill your request and you can decide which way you'd like me to go. Once the rough has been approved I will not e-mail out any more image - unless that is agreed upon as the way you'd like to receive your art.
4. I will not mail out any art unless I receive payment first
You will receive the original artwork only after I have been paid, but if need be we can make arrangements for COD (you will have to cover any additional expenses this incurs. Prices will vary depending on the degree of difficulty of the artwork requested. All payment details will be discussed on an individual basis and agreed upon prior to my beginning work.

As stated before, all requests are treated individually. I am willing to use several different mediums, including digital media. Be advised that some media are more costly than others. I also reserve the right to decline any commission request for any reason. All quotes are in US denominations.
A. Paid commissions are usually $125.00-$300.00. Depending on the medium, the price can go up or down. Shipping is included in the cost, unless the artwork needs to be shipped internationally.
B. When you commission artwork, the finished artwork belongs to you. This means that at the end of the project the original artwork is mailed to you to do with as you please. I do keep digital copies of all colored images for my portfolio and will possibly display it on my web-site.
C. If you request a color piece of art please be aware that they are scanned and colored with Adobe Photoshop at high resolution (300 dpi or better) unless you request otherwise. I will then print it out on photo paper stock. I will then hand sign the art. You will also receive the original drawing along with the color print.
D. You may also request just a print of a pencil drawing (or rendering) and that will be significantly less expensive then if you were to receive the original.
E. In the instance that you decide to select a print over the original artwork, I will auction off the original through a blind auction on my website or e-Bay.

Thanks for your interest!

Invoices: ~IMPORTANT!~

Every Commission is invoiced, but invoices will be e-mailed to you rather than shipped with your original artwork. If you require a physical invoice, please let me know before the commission is complete.

International shipping laws require duty be paid on all international purchases. So, it is important that you understand that you are paying for the TIME I spend drawing and coloring the piece. You are NOT paying for the original artwork. The original artwork is my gift to you. You are not required to pay duty on gifts. If you do not live in the US and you require a physical receipt, be warned that ALL packages crossing international borders can legally be searched. The inclusion of a physical receipt may force authorities to interpret the 'gift' as a 'purchase'. You may then be charged duty. Request physical receipts at you own financial risk.
